Charming costume brooch inspired by 19th century pieces and reflecting the popularity of this flower for the Victorians. The pansy's name is derived from the French word pensée, 'thought', and it was regarded as a symbol of remembrance when given in tussie-mussies, a fashion which extended to other keepsakes such as jewellery. This colourful brooch brings the tradition up to date as a thoughtful gift or add to your collection.
