Description
Set of 6 glass decorations embellished with glittering detail echoing the opulent bejewelled eggs created in the House of Fabergé workshops in St. Petersburg, Imperial Russia for the Romanov court in the late-19th century. Tsar Nicholas II commissioned jeweller Peter Carl Fabergé as the “goldsmith by special appointment to the imperial crown,” granting him complete creative freedom in the design of the eggs. Each rich jewel-toned glass egg ornament is liberally glittered and decorated with scattered faux crystals and pearls.

These little glass decorations are very delicate and reminiscent of the old Victorian ones that are so hard to find. They’re beautiful and well made, my grandchildren will enjoy theirs I’m sure, I had one for each and one for myself! I would love to know where they were made but there’s no mention of this anywhere that I can find. I just hope they’re not made in China because as far as I’m concerned that would be very, very disappointing. We love them though.

Obviously, I bought these for Christmas but I can say that they are really lovely. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality, but I suppose given the price I shouldn't have been surprised at all. I can't wait to see them up at Christmas time.
