Description
Pretty hanging metal tea light holder inspired by late 19th century metalwares, with a faux rust finish and glass tea light holder. During the 19th century, butterflies were a popular motif in all decorative arts as they symbolised the soul. Butterflies also featured regularly in Japanese art and fashion and the Victorian love for Japonisme encouraged the use of Japanese motifs in fashion and home décor toward the end of the nineteenth century. This charming design reflects their use in iron, bronze and silver pieces, perfect for either indoor or outdoor use.
