Description
Stag tapestry cushion echoing Carl Frederick Deiker's (1836 - 1892) 19th-century oil painting 'Stag in Highland scene'. Deiker was a painter specialising in animal and hunting motifs. Alongside his brother Johannes, he gained recognition for his depictions of wildlife scenes. His paintings often featured various animals such as deer, wild boars, hares, vultures, and falcons, captured in dynamic and naturalistic compositions. These subjects were popular during the 19th century, reflecting both a fascination with nature and a romanticised view of the hunt.

Excellent cushions when received (not send first time of ordering) but packaged very poorly. Tape hanging off the bottom of the box with box open and top lid of box not taped down at all. Flapping open - don’t know how the contents stayed inside the box.
Very disappointed in Museum selection as always high quality in the past. Will have to consider whether to order again in the future . The package was poorly wrapped originally and looks to have been further damaged by the courier.
