Description
Beautiful jacquard cardigan knitted in a design echoing 16th-century damasks which were often woven with scrolling motifs. Traditionally, Medieval damasks were typically woven in silk, with some weavers also producing fabrics in linen and wool. By the 14th century, such damasks were woven in Italy on draw looms and, into the 16th century, damasks would appear in one colour with a satin pattern against a base ground. Our Scrolling Jacquard Cardigan has been designed in a flattering fitted style and flared from the waist with a button front.

Service Rating:
I took a chance and was lucky. It fits fine. I am only 5 feet tall and the waist is almost in the right place. Just maybe a centimetre too high. However, this cardigan would look silly on someone six inches taller than me as the waist of the cardigan would be too high, the peplum would start too high, and at the back the peplum would make the person look like their bottom started very high up, Very unflattering. Information on waist length (from top of neck) would have been very useful in this instance.
