Known as Meihua, plum blossom is the national flower of China and has been depicted in art and poetry for centuries. This pretty cotton robe echoes a 19th-century design of blossom and birds in light blue and cream. Finishing touches include two pockets, a tie belt, ¾-length sleeves and a light green pom pom trim. Peaceful, tranquil colours carry through this long robe. One size fits up to size 16 with a loose, relaxed fit. Fabric is thin like tissue paper. Totally unusable as a garment. Such a pity, as the design is gorgeous. Why not make it in a proper fabric?
