Peony Jersey Dress

Multicoloured floral print a-line dress recalling watercolour studies from the 1930s. Crafted from soft cotton jersey and designed in a relaxed, pull-on style for effortless wear. It has ¾-length sleeves, side seam pockets, and a panelled waist at the bodice, accented with a fabric tie. The dress is unlined and falls to a maxi length for a comfortable, elegant silhouette. The tree peony of Moutan arrived in Britain from China 1789 and quickly became a favourite in ornamental gardens. Its bold form made it popular with artists and botanical illustrators throughout the 19th century.
