Paisley Dress

Maxi-length shirt dress in a pretty paisley print of Persian origin, which reached Western fashion through the import of richly patterned Kashmir shawls in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Its distinctive teardrop motif, known formally as the boteh, proved so popular that Scottish weavers in the town of Paisley began producing their own woven versions, eventually lending the pattern its enduring Western name. This crinkle-rayon paisley dress in cream, pink and blue has a relaxed fit with a collared V-neck secured by a popper, three-quarter-length sleeves, side pockets, tiered panels and a detachable waist tie.
