Lightly quilted cotton jacket printed with a pattern inspired by Owen Jones's study of medieval illuminated motifs for The Grammar of Ornament (1856), his monumental attempt to derive universal principles of decorative design from the ornamental traditions of cultures across history and the world. In green, yellow, blue and white on a black base with contrast pattern borders, it reverses to plain black and features a relaxed, edge-to-edge fit, full-length sleeves and side seam pockets.
