Embroidered Corduroy Swing Jacket

A smart red cotton corduroy swing jacket featuring embroidery at the cuffs, derived from the motifs of a 19th-century sampler. Samplers of this kind were often used by young women to practise their needlework and preserve folk designs. This corduroy jacket is unlined and cut in a loose fit with a button front fastening and ¾-length sleeves, and finished with practical patch pockets.
