Description
Black cotton tunic finely embroidered with blooms and cranes, based on a panelled screen from the Edo period (1603-1867). Cranes have been an important motif in Japanese art and textiles for centuries. These noble birds are monogamous and form pair bonds that can last a lifetime, and they've come to symbolise longevity and peace. This design is embroidered in soft hues of cream and ochre against a black background. Our tunic is designed in a relaxed fit, pull-on style for comfort.

This tunic is as described, it’s a good cotton with beautiful embroiderery, matched with creamy gold silk trousers it makes an impressive going out outfit- I’m very pleased with it . Only downside is I ordered a large as I’m a high street size 16, but the tunic is a little snug around my bust , not tight enough that it warrants sending back , as it looks fine . I’d just be a little more comfortable if it were looser
