Description
Printed cotton robe in white and aqua, recalling the work of Swiss artist Eugène Grasset. Born in Lausanne, Switzerland, Grasset was raised in an artistic environment as the son of a cabinetmaker and sculptor. After completing his education, he visited Egypt, an experience that would later be reflected in a number of his poster designs. He became an admirer of Japanese art, which influenced some of his designs as well. Grasset worked in Paris in a variety of creative design fields during the Belle Époque and is considered a pioneer in Art Nouveau design. Our Aquilegia Robe reflects his style, brought up to date with a relaxed fit and full-length sleeves, cream lace trim around the cuff and collar. Finished with practical side pockets and an adjustable waist tie, ensuring a perfect fit.
