Focusing on the imagery, the collection presents cats across cultures and media, from oil paintings to watercolours, Japanese block prints, popular postcards, and more. Includes a diverse mix of artists, each capturing the aloof, inscrutable and mischievous moods of cats. Includes work by Hiroshige, Auguste Macke, Abraham Mignon, Julie de Graag, Pierre Bonnard, Arthur Rackham Théophile-Alexandre Steinlen, Henriëtte Ronner-Knip.
