The design echoes late 19th-century Japanese wall hangings, when such motifs gained popularity both domestically and abroad. Cranes often appear in Meiji-era textiles and paintings, reflecting Japan's enduring connection between nature and spirituality. This elegant scarf is printed on silk and finished with hand-rolled hems. Design may be paler on the reverse.
