Summer Cornflowers Silk Scarf

Printed silk scarf featuring a delightful detail from Cornflower, one of Jane Loudon’s elegant lithographs published in The Ladies’ Flower Garden (1842). Loudon revolutionised Victorian botanical publishing by creating beautifully illustrated guides that made horticulture accessible, particularly to women. Her botanical plates, admired for fine linework and harmonious arrangements, helped popularise many ornamental species in domestic gardens. This scarf, on an ecru ground with hand-rolled hems, reflects that legacy through its delicately coloured blooms and airy Victorian refinement. The design is paler on the reverse.
