Kilburn Blossom Silk Scarf

Floral silk scarf reproducing a design by William Kilburn (1745–1818), an Irish-born artist known for his exceptional botanical prints and textile patterns. Kilburn’s detailed watercolours are preserved in the renowned ‘Kilburn Album’ at the Victoria and Albert Museum and reflect the 18th-century passion for natural science and fine textile design. His work helped elevate calico printing into an art form, combining scientific accuracy with aesthetic charm. This off white scarf is printed on silk with hand-rolled hems. The design may be paler on the reverse.
