Pretty silk scarf based on Claude Monet’s painting ‘The Artist’s Garden at Giverny’, 1900, now held in the Musée d'Orsay, Paris. Monet was the founder of French Impressionism and became renowned for his beautiful landscapes which transcended basic forms to focus on texture, light and brushstroke. Monet lived in Giverny for forty-three years, from 1883 to 1926, and the majority of his art depicts aspects of his beloved gardens, from his Japanese-style bridge to his waterlilies. Please note, the print will be paler on the reverse.
