Geometric Silk Scarf

Purple geometric silk scarf with a printed design in lilac, purples and khaki green, echoing the work of French artist and designer Sonia Delaunay (1885–1979). Delaunay was a key founder of the Orphism movement, an offshoot of Cubism distinguished by its use of bold, contrasting colour and rhythmic geometric form, and she extended that vibrant aesthetic well beyond painting into textile design, avant-garde fashion, and even interior decoration for automobiles. Finished with hand-rolled hems, the design paler on the reverse.
