A capacious tote bag in sturdy cotton canvas, printed on the front and back with jewel-like details of peacocks: on the front, the bag presents three regal peacocks, while on the back, the bag shows a close-up detail of one of the birds. The design reproduces a sumptuous gold-tooled, leather binding from 1910 by master bookbinders Sangorski & Sutcliffe of London; now in the collection of the Library. The inlaid binding was originally designed for an anthology of poems by the 14th century Persian poet, known as Háfiz? of Shíráz. The luxurious bindings produced by the firm includes precious and semiprecious inlay and gold leaf. Made in practical cotton, the bag includes a side gusset and an interior zip pocket to securely hold keys or other small valuables. Designed to hold up to 7kg, 3cm wide handles make the bag comfortable to carry on your shoulder or in your hand. With plain side panels and handles.
