Painterly Christmas cards, reproducing charming watercolour bird portraits, including a wren, robin, chaffinch and great tit, each set within festive holly frames. Adapted from a Christmas card design, c.1992, painted by West Country wildlife artist Frances Fry. Originally produced for the Medici Society, founded in 1908 to bring fine-quality art to people at an affordable price. Fry’s work was often inspired by the wildlife of her home county; the artist is said to have observed and been inspired by nature as she walked on Exmoor. Colourful, square-format cards which are sure to delight bird and wildlife-loving friends and family at Christmas.
