Silver earrings set with blue opal and inspired by a ring created in 1920 by Arts and Crafts jeweller Sibyl Dunlop (1889 -1968) who favoured cabouchon stones such as these opaque opals.
Sterling silver with opal.1 ½" long. Clean with a soft cloth.
I was disappointed with these earrings. The mounts are lovely, the stones less so. They''re described as ''opals''. At the price, I wasn''t expecting genuine opals, but the stones in the earrings look nothing like opals and don''t match. As Museum Selection will not accept returns or exchanges of earrings, I''m stuck with a pair which I''ll never wear.
