Set of 2 Pyramid Tea Bags Tins

The first tea bag patents date from c.19034 and were designed for the convenient transport of tea, resembling small sacks, rather than the convenience of brewing a cup; rectangular shaped-tea bags were introduced in 1944. Since then, pyramid shaped tea bags were invented by Brooke Bond in 1997. Whole leaf Sri Lankan English Breakfast and Earl Grey teas; the large, biodegradable pyramid tea bags give the leaves maximum room to infuse. The leaves are not torn or broken during production which creates a fuller, more complex flavour.

English Breakfast: black tea blended with a sprinkling of Sunflower Petals. Earl Grey: black tea blended with Bergamot flavour and blue mallow petals.

Each tin contains 15 x 3g pyramid teabags; 4" tall.
