Pair of Klimt Cushions

A pair of Tapestry cushions.
One reproducing a detail from Gustav Klimt's mural 'The Tree of Life' (left), 1905. Richly symbolic, the swirling branches of the tree are thought to represent life in perpetuity while the black bird, perched amidst the branches, symbolises the circle of life.
Double-sided, cotton mix tapestry, polyester filling. 17" x 18".

The second cushion reproduces a detail from ‘Expectation’ (right), 1905; part of the Stoclet Freize by Gustav Klimt (1862–1918), suggesting the influence of Egyptian art and artefacts on Klimt’s work.
Cotton/polyester-mix, plain beige back with polyester-fill. 17" square.

To clean, wipe with a damp cloth.
