Going to Work Jigsaw

The Lowry

Lowry (1887-1976) repeatedly depicted Salford's industrial districts in his work, returning again and again to the city's mills and street scenes as motifs, which he described as having 'a private beauty that haunted me'. Lowry studied painting until 1928, first at the Salford School of Art and then at the Manchester Academy of Fine Arts.

29" x 20" constructed, 10" x 10" x 2" boxed.
