Legend has it that fudge was invented in America with the first batch made in Baltimore in 1886; the recipe was sent to a female student at Vassar College, Poughkeepsie, New York in 1888 to be made for a fundraiser; this then sparked the popularity of the confection at other women’s colleges and, ultimately, the world over. This English-made recipe is made with fresh whipping cream to create deliciously smooth chocolate-dipped gourmet fudge in 12 festive flavours; including mince pie and brandy butter, gingerbread, cherry brandy and Irish cream.
