Smart porcelain mug reproducing a detail from 'The Fighting Temeraire' , painted in 1838 and exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1839 by Joseph Mallord William Turner (1775-1851). The painting depicts HMS Temeraire being towed by a paddle-wheel steam tug towards its final berth in Rotherhithe in south-east London in 1838 to be broken up.

A strange, rough texture to the picture, but the colours are very good. There is a fault on mine so I have returned it, but have asked for a replacement as picture is good and price not bad
