Deerstalker

The hat long associated with Sherlock Holmes, although his creator Arthur Conan Doyle never actually described him wearing one. The closest reference is to ‘his ear-flapped travelling cap’ in ‘The Adventure of Silver Blaze’. It was Sidney Paget, original illustrator of the stories, who depicted Holmes as a ‘deerstalker man’.

Wool/acrylic/polyester mix tweed, quilted lining.
Ear flaps 5½" long, with 10" ribbon, 2½" visor front and back.
Made in Britain.
Dry clean only.

rather more flimsy than I expected (fabric) and only just fit although I had purchased a size larger than normal. I felt it was too much hassle to return it so I''ve kept it.
