2 British Racer Sound Cards

National Motor Museum, Beaulieu

Collectable cards featuring the actual engine sounds of 2 British greats in the Museum's collection. This Sunbeam 350HP was first raced at Brooklands in 1920, setting a new World Land Speed Record of 129.171mph in 1922. It was then bought by Malcolm Campbell; he renamed in 'Bluebird' and went on to set 2 of his 9 records in it - at Pendine Sands in 1924 he reached 146.16mph and 150.766mph in 1925. This Lotus 49, designed by Colin Chapman and Maurice Philippe has the legendary Ford-Cosworth DFV engine. The chassis is the sole surviving 1967 team car; this was built overnight on the eve of the British Grand Prix for Graham Hill and used by him for the rest of the season and to win the 1968 championship.

2 designs, 6" square, blank.

One sent as a gift, well received. Sound is a bit odd but a clever idea. Still happy to send the other in a few weeks time.

Original item. Perhaps racing car sound could have been more realistic, but this is probably impossible.
